Where to purchase the disc-free games

In case your old discs have been played to death, I thought I would include where you can purchase the disc-free versions. The Enhanced Editions include new weapon proficiencies, classes, quests, areas and people to join your party. Also, better graphics, higher resolution, you can increase font size and it is said to support widescreen. I am in no way associated with Good Old Games or anyone else and I don't profit from them, I'm just being helpful. Even though most of the games are in dollars they should work in other countries; I'm in the UK and they work fine for me Smile

If you want the original Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II you can buy them for Linux (at least Ubuntu 14.04), Windows and Mac from GOG.com.
You can also purchase Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition for Linux (at least Ubuntu 14.04), Windows and Mac from GOG.com. Their games are really good because they are DRM-free and one purchase gives you the Linux (at least Ubuntu 14.04), Windows and Mac versions. Also, the games don't require internet on the pc you wish to play them on, so you can just download on one pc and transfer it via a Flash Drive, SD Card, DVDR or whatever to play on any pc.

I've written instructions on how to get the Enhanced Editions working in Ubuntu 14.04 onwards. You can find them here

You can now play the Enhanced Editions of Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II and Icewind Dale on your Android devices. You can increase the font sizes to make it easier to read on a small screen. The Enhanced Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II and Icewind Dale are available to buy at Google's Play Store (Play Store is in your Apps). I recommend using WiFi as they are over 2GB each but, after running the apps once, no internet is required to play. If you haven't got much room on your device to update them, I recommend you back up your saved games including Baldur.ini and uninstall/reinstall them. Now you can solve all the problems of the Sword Coast wherever you go. smile
